Kullu Valley is called the valley of the Gods. Every home , village , hilltop , pass & river bank is adorned with small temples to honour the local deities. In this case colourful seasonal pumpkins have been offered as 'prasad' to the deity.

Hi and welcome! Thanks for taking the time to check out my paintings. I'm a New Zealander, born in Te Awamutu (just like the Finn brothers, if you're a fan of good Kiwi music). I've been lucky to have lived in India for the last 25 years at a meditation hermitage. Before that I was a musician, and I only played with sketching as a teenager. I continued my musical studies here in India until a strained arm forced me to rest. At that time, my father was visiting, who has dabbled in art all his life. We went out to sketch and paint a few times, and I was hooked. Over the last 15 years, painting with watercolours has been a favourite pastime, constantly inspired by the surrounding Himalayas.
